Teaching Practice 1.1
As you might be able to recognise from the image above, my first teaching practice (TP) placement was in Cologne. To be precise, I got to spend two weeks in February at the Cologne International School (IFK). During this time, I have gained a lot of different new insights and experiences, which I will showcase to you, my dear reader, in this digital portfolio. Besides a variety of classes that we attended, my fellow Social Studies/History student teacher and I also got the opportunity to do an acitivty in a Humanities class of Grade 8. Below I have added the PowerPoint, lesson plan, handout texts that we used as well as the theory behind our lesson activity and the evaluation we got from the students.
As an addition to these documents, I also kept a logbook with daily observations and reflections which I shared with my supervising lecturer of my institution. And lastly, you can find the activities that I wanted to carry out and the goals that I established for myself in my Professional Development Plan (add link).
All in all, I really enjoyed the first two weeks of my very first teaching practice. I am looking forward to all new experiences yet to come.
